Founded in 2011 by Welber Barral, former Brazil’s Foreign Trade National Secretary (2007 – 2011); and Miguel Jorge, former Brazilian Minister for Industry and Trade (2007 – 2011), BMJ is the preeminent and largest lobbying & public affairs consultancy in Latin America, operating in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, the USA, and the UAE. BMJ also focuses on foreign trade projects, FDI in Latin America, and covering sustainability politics in the region.
Our history in the Middle Eastern region started with the increasing demand from Gulf’s investment funds and multinationals interested in trade and investment opportunities in Brazil and other Latin American countries.
Over time, with the strengthening of political and economic ties between Latin America and Gulf countries, BMJ has also developed projects for Latin American corporations and institutions interested in trading or expanding businesses in the Gulf region.
Therefore, BMJ has been building up an extensive experience attending sectors susceptible to political risks, translating the Brazilian and Latin American political scenario to MENA & Asian investors and corporations, as well as supporting Latin American businesses to navigate the Gulf markets.
